Sparrow just surviving with minor updates to the app with the gmail app seeing bigger changes

All around the technology blogging world all you can see is news on the Apple vs Samsung court case, I thought I would stay well clear of that since it has been done to death over the past code of weeks and instead bring you some news about everyone’s favourite email client that has recently been purchased by Google.

The Sparrow iOS email application has seen a few bug fixes just to further improve the great little app but as promised since been brought by Google there have been no major improvements to the app. The sparrow team however must have been hard at work on the Gmail app which now feels a lot more like sparrow.

The changes that were seen in sparrow include fixes to ‘huge’ email conversations, links in subjects are now clickable and there has been an improvement to the IMAP support great news for people like our writer Josh who are sticking with the app.

Personally I think this is the end for Sparrow and it won’t be long before the gmail app is pretty much identical in the great user experience that was offered. When you are the size of Google I’m sure you will find that most problems can be solved by throwing money at them or buying the right development team.
