iMore was the first source to claim that the iPhone 5 was due for a 12th Sep announcement and a 21st of September release. Now they are claiming to have a source that has told them that the phone will be available to pre order on the 12th as soon as it is announced.
This is not uncommon by Apple but it is good to hear rumours saying that we won’t have to wait weeks for a chance to be able to get the phone. It is likely that they will ship it to their first waves of countries such as the US, UK, France, Germany and Canada before the spread out to other countries.
With lower than expected iPhone sales in the previous quarter there is quite a high expectation of this next generation iPhone as it should bring Apple’s revenues back unto full strength.
