PDFs we all use them whether it be at university or at work they are used a lot, they are used from everything to viewing reports to whole books or large document. The only down side about PDFs they are very difficult to edit if there is an error, you need to comment on something or add extra details you just can’t do it on many PDF viewer. Well I found one that you can edit them with!
The editor I found is called Infix and it is from iceni who make a variety of useful products. Infix though has to be by far their best this thing let’s you do anything you ever wanted with PDF files and it really does look that simple you can add, edit and delete content include text images and tables. It not only let’s you do that though you can reformat columns and paragraphs to make work flow better and look smoother, copy graphics and text between different PDF documents. Also another little very handy feature the software has is that it lets you search and replace, so say for example your colleague got a clients name wrong in a report you could find every one and change then in one go, features like this just mean you don’t have to go back into the word doc edit that then covert it into a PDF again.
From just a quick look around the product it also let’s you create PDF from any document which is pretty useful too. This handy little tool is availed on both PC and Mac with a free, paid and enterprise version. I think I’ll be getting myself a version.
Looking further into the Inceni site they give you a great explanation of what you can get from the 3 different infix packages they offer. The first one the free package is just a form filler program you can view, edit and reflow PDF’s this gives you the ability to enter what you need into forms and make sure the information is set out correctly.
The main consumer package is the standard package this gives you all the text and picture editing features as well as the ability to add comments and multiple layers to the PDF documents. The greatest feature of this package is its ability to convert the PDFs into other formats such as ePub, RTF and HTML. The final and largest version of the software that Iceni offer is the professional version of the software, this lets you do many other extra things with the PDF editors. One of the main additional features that the professional version gives you is the ability to bulk edit across 100′s of documents.
All in all this is a great software pack take a look here
