There has been a lot of speculation about a smaller iPad there has been rumors coming out from most of the Apple rumor sites out there. The design would be to combat the smaller designs like the Amazon kindle fire. Now Bloomberg has come into the mix and stated that they have sources that have informed them of the release. They have stated that:
The new model will have a screen that’s 7 inches to 8 inches diagonally, less than the current 9.7-inch version, said the people, who asked not to be identified because Apple hasn’t made its plans public. The product, which Apple may announce by October, won’t have the high-definition screen featured on the iPad that was released in March, one of the people said.
This rumor really is starting to carry some weight now with Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal reporting on its accuracy. It will be interesting to see what happens in the current months as the iPhone 5, iMac, iPad mini and Mac mini are all predicts to make an appearance in October.
