Google release iOS Chrome and Google driv

Chrome iOS appYesterday Google released its iOS app compatible with the iPhone and iPad for its Chrome and Google Drive applications. The applications have been rumoured for over a month now when they were predicted by a market analyst.

Chrome for iOS has quite a few really good features such as tab syncing across devices and incognito mode. However as pointed out by the next web there is quite a hurdle they have to overcome:

The biggest hurdle that Chrome features, of course, is that it cannot be set to be the default browser on iOS devices, a capability that Apple also reserves for Safari. So, while you can use the browser to your heart’s content, it will not be the default handler for any URLs clicked. That’s a huge hurdle to overcome.

The main app for me is the Google drive app which I haven’t tested yet I use the service a fair bit now to store documents. I just hope it will work better than their gmail iOS app which since the recent update I have found to be even more buggy. Src: Mac rumors
