App Review: Pocket for iPhone

Pocket for iPhone

If you’re anything like me you’ll read your news feeds like your morning coffee. It’s almost become a routine for me, wake up, check the social things, email and such, then be productive. I previously wrote about Flipboard being the most amazing RSS reader I’ve ever come across, and between that Tweetbot and Pocket you’ve got a great combination of how to keep in the know.

Okay, so Pocket, what is it? Well imagine you’ve got a maximum of 10 minutes to spare in the Pocket for iPhonemorning, you’re rushing around and you’ve no time to sit and wade through the overnight news? Well of course you’re going to do the essentials first, check your Facebook notifications and Twitter mentions (right?). I usually spend a bit of time on Flipboard too, and this is where Pocket comes in handy. It allows you to send all of the news and bits of information that you’ve not enough time to check to it, so that they can be read whilst offline. If you’re unable to browse the Internet during the day (perhaps you don’t have a contract that includes cellular data) or you want Pocket for iPhonea way of ensuring you can read what is important to you; Pocket is for you.
Admittedly I’ve only gotten as far as using Twitter and Flipboard with Pocket, but what I’ve seen so far has been amazing.
If you’ve not got enough time in the morning, or you can’t get enough news, check it out.
